“Cross and Knots “my book review

I read a Cross and Knots book by Ian Rankin.

Let me introduce author Ian Rankin. Ian was born and brought up in Scotland. He started his writing career back in 1982. He has written more than thirty books.

This story is based in Edinburgh. The author has provided a city map and all the places in the story exist and not fiction that makes the story more real.

Map of the city for reference for readers visualized readers and involves readers in the story.

The story started at the police station. A typical police station and a small group of police officers.

The main character is John Rebus a Deputy Superintendent who is an ex-SAS paramilitary.

I must tell you that the storyline gets a bit side-track and a little boring, but you have to hang on to it, it is a part of the story. You will find the story is not building up after even reading three-quarters of the book. But there are continuous murders of young girls

The author has used vivid language in this novel, and you might need a dictionary to read.

While training at SAS, Rebus encounters many people in the army and particularly, Mr. Reeve. Mr. Reeve is also selected to become a SAS officer along with Mr. Rebus. Mr. Rebus and Mr. Reeve become good friends in the process.

Mr. Rebus has a brother called Michel who has followed their father’s profession-hypnotist. But the Edinburgh police department thinks he is involved in…
